Getting here

Pebbly Beach is in Murramarang National Park on the New South Wales South Coast just 3½ hours drive south from Sydney or 2 hours east from Canberra.

Turn east off the Princes Highway onto the Mount Agony Road. You will see this turnoff 38 km south of Ulladulla or 14 km north of Batemans Bay. There is a large signpost to "Durras Lake North" and "Depot Beach".
Map showing roads to Pebbly Beach
Continue on this road for about 7 km. Most of the road is paved except for a short section before a road signposted "Pebbly Beach", which turns off to the right. This is a paved road that winds down the hill for 1 km to the Beach.

At the bottom of the hill there is a road on the right, just before a small building. The road is marked with a sign "S & Y McFarlane Camp Managers" and leads to the 5 cabins at the southern end of the beach.

If you are booked into one of the 4 cabins at the northern end of the beach, or are camping, go a little further down the main road, just past the small building, and take the road to the left marked "Cabins" and "Camp sites". This road goes in a semi-circle around the camping ground, giving access to the campsites and then to the cabins.

Past the camping ground the road forks. To get to the cabins take the left fork. You will need to open a swinging gate. After you have driven through please close the gate. Drive down over a small bridge to the northern group of cabins.

Note: There are two other roads that lead from the Princes Highway to Pebbly Beach, including one signposted "Pebbly Beach" but the Mount Agony Road has more paved sections and is generally easier to travel on.
